As someone who was there, would like to state that there was a huge storm on the last evening of the festival. A lot of the tidied trash bags left by people who had left were blown everywhere-

As someone who has been to esoteric a couple of years and was meant to go this year, I decided to give pitch a go after being heartbroken with the cancellation. I was surprised at how much fun I had, with Pitch being one of my favourite weekends ever. My crew were some of the last ones to leave the festival and we spent over an hour running around the site trying our best to clean up some of the mess. Throughout the whole festival I did my best to encourage the leave-no-trace ethic. Please, before you judge the pitch patrons keep in mind that there are a select few of us who do our best to keep the site clean. If you were there, you know how crazy that storm hit and for some, the only option was to abandon their site and get home to safety. Before you judge the pitch community please keep an open mind to the struggles we endured. Hopefully this experience is a new learning curve for everyone. Peace and love 🫶🏼

This enrages me so much! Look you don’t have to go cleaning up after others but if every individual person just picked up after themselves there wouldn’t be this big of a mess left It’s so simple! how were you not taught to not litter I can’t fathom leaving junk behind let alone tents etc so disrespectful and very disappointing. And before anyone goes on about how there aren’t enough bins provided I’m sure you’ll survive with taking the garbage with you until you find a proper bin to chuck it in, bring your own rubbish bags there’s always a way instead of leaving such a disaster behind.
