@crmnallyobsessed: In 1994, Robin Lawrence was stabbed 49 times by an intruder. Her shocking death was left unanswered for decades, but after 30 years her case has finally come to a close. In 2019, the Fairfax County Police Department reached out to Parabon NanoLabs, a DNA technology company in Northern Virginia that specializes in DNA phenotyping and genetic genealogy analysis. With DNA found at the crime scene, they were able to create a sketch of a possible suspect. With this sketch, the police department was able to set their sights on one suspect: Stephan Smerk. Smerk is a former Army soldier who used to live at what is now the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Arlington. When police tracked him down in New York, they say he admitted to the crime. He stated that he left his barracks that day with the intent on k*lling a complete stranger.
