stay easy walking distance from a train! that should be rule #1 becuase you are going to walk 20 miles a day. don't think that Uber is an option unless you want to spend a TON of cash.

personally I think ikebukuro is a better location to stay if you are an anime fan (especially if u are a girl) than akihabara

I booked with Expedia staying in Kira City, literally right off the Tabata Station exit, tiny room but solo traveler and it’s a place just to sleep it’s perfect. Quiet area and 7/11 near by

If staying in Shinjuku then the Gyoenmae area is way better….much quieter, yet still close to everything plus direct subway access. Ginza is a close 2nd. Shibuya is dirty & overcrowded
