I read a turtle never leaves a 1 mile radius of its home and will spend the rest of their life looking for their home. I feel terrible for all the ones I thought I was saving and relocated. Oops!

You have to set them in the same direction you found them. In a safe place but the same direction.

My granny would take that home cook & eat it. Then she displayed the turtle shells all around her house for decor. Gave me the creeps.

You’re not suppose to take the turtle it will not survive. The never go more then 1 mile from there home. I use to do that until I did my research. Your only suppose to help in the direction it’s goin

I took turtles as a kid from Arkansas to Pennsylvania and my dad built a turtle paradise in an old bathtub. Those turtles loved it!! They hibernated and everything!

That's definitely a red ear slider turtle. You can tell by the underside. I'm always stopping for the turtles here in Bama. You did great Miss Valerie!
