i want to add that you should use immersion as a way to reinforce what you’re studying (if you’re not studying the basics it will not be as effective and it will take much longer to learn) 💓

I started going to a Korean language program at pknu university (3 weeks ago) and I feel it’s so hard to memorize all the vocabs and grammar 😭 specially when it comes to speaking 🥲 (I’m in level 2)

I work full time and have two kids so I only study like five hours a week but I do notice my progress as more songs make sense, I use subs less, etc. some of the comments show adults getting frustrated they’re learning slowly which I fully understand but it is a reality that as you age you’ll pick up language slower just keep going. 천천히! 화이팅!

I think especially all the weird mid-word patchim rules become ingrained by listening a lot to Korean. I can't explain any of those rules, but I can read most Korean words anyway just from exposure.
