Nah the reservation one is valid. If I reserve a spot for 2pm, particularly 2 hours or more in advance, I expect my table ready at 2pm on the dot. That’s literally why it’s called a reservation.

I am OK with waiting for five minutes for a reservation. But if it goes into like 10 minutes that restaurant should offer me a drink or something for my trouble. Also, don’t take it out on the server!

Yeah, no, the reservation table has to be ready at the time. If they arrive a little early or super late maybe there’s some wiggle room but if they arrive on time, they’re getting seated.

as a host I know that a reservation at 2 means you *should* have that table at 2 but if the previous reservation sits there for 3 hours what am I supposed to do about it ❤️
