That’s exactly what I do dinner straight away then toast and snacks before bed, and I also found because they have pudding earlier they go to sleep better.

We do this now. She has tea pretty much as soon as we are home .. then she may have snacks! I was also going overboard as shopping with treats/snacks and she knew they was there. So wouldn’t eat tea x

my son doesn't get anything decent at lunchtime at school, and won't eat breakfast so he has dinner the moment we get in from school. then if he's hungry later in the evening he has a bowl of cereal

I do this!! We come home and by 4/4.15 im giving them dinner! It’s worked out SO well! Way less snacks and less wasting their dinner! It’s saving money too!

I had to start doing this, feed them as soon as they get in. Very rarely so they snack after school now. If hungry at bedtime they have cereal
