@crmnallyobsessed: On December 7, 1958, Kenneth and Barbara Martin went on a car ride with their three daughters. They left Portland, Oregon, to look for Christmas decorations and never returned. A few months later, two bodies were found on the shores of the Columbia River. They were later identified as the two youngest daughters, Virginia and Susan. After nearly 70 years of search efforts, alleged sightings, and dead ends, diver Archer Mayo started to independently investigate the disappearance. On March 6, 2025, recovery efforts began for the family car. While trying to pull the vehicle out of the water, the chassis detached from the car. While no human remains were found during this search, officials remain optimistic that the bodies might be amongst the remaining debris. #coldcase #riverdiver #missingpersons
