I’ve ran a deer processor for years, thankfully Alabama doesn’t have a CWD problem, but I have seen it in deer in other states, and no, you dont want to eat them..

The first time i heard of cwd was from a lady who worked for a college in Alberta she told me not even the wolves would eat the dead animals. they ran tests leaving the dead bodies out for months

For those that don’t know… no you most likely will not catch CWD from eating deer that have CWD. However CWD has the ability to infect humans especially if meat is consumed from the brain.

My uncle died of Crutchfield Jacobs disease. The Dr's. said it could have come from elk infected by CWD. South West Colorado

Google what a Prion is and then you will never chance it. It can't be cooked out, it can't be bleached or or acid washed out. Radiation won't kill it because it's not alive. it's rare but real.

I knew someone who died from CWD. like the doctor straight up said it was from eating game meat that had CWD.
