Police need help finding the driver in a Friday afternoon hit-and-run that killed 6-year-old Mariana Espinoza in east Charlotte. The deadly crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at the intersection of Barrington Drive and Lanecrest Drive. On Monday, Oct. 26 — two days after the crash — officers released a photo of the suspected vehicle, described as a gray 2012-2015 Mercedes-Benz C250 with a sunroof and heavy front-grille damage. At the time of the crash, police said the car had black rims, a matte black gas cap cover, and a temporary tag. No arrests have been made. Police ask anyone with information to call 911 immediately.
