Apple crumble in the Mini Bakes kitchen, this is one of my fave desserts so here’s the recipe for big size! Classic Apple Crumble Recipe Ingredients For the Apple Filling: - 4 medium-sized apples (500 grams), peeled, cored, and chopped into 1-inch cubes - 60 grams (6 tablespoons) granulated, powdered, or castor sugar - ½ teaspoon lemon juice - ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional) - 2 tablespoons flour - ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon ( I don’t use ) For the Crumble Topping: - 75 grams cold butter cubes (⅓ cup) - ½ cup castor sugar or confectioner’s sugar (100 grams) - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or ½ teaspoon vanilla essence - 1 cup whole flour (120 grams) - ½ teaspoon baking powder - A pinch of salt Instructions Make the Apple Filling: 1. Rinse, peel, core, and chop the apples into 1-inch cubes. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine apples with sugar, lemon juice, nutmeg, and flour. Mix well. 3. Grease a baking tray or pan with butter. Make the crumble 4. In a mixing bowl, combine cold butter, castor sugar, and vanilla extract. 5. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Use a pastry cutter, knife or fingers knife f to mix until the texture resembles breadcrumbs. Go light so the butter does not melt. Assemble: 6. Layer the apple mixture evenly in the greased pan. 7. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the apples. Bake: 8. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) for 15 minutes. 9. Bake for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden. Cover with foil if it browns too quickly. 10.
