I love hydrangeas (have about a dozen) but keep in mind that they'll be bare branches for at least a few months in the winter. I prefer main ones in front of my house to be evergreen-azaleas

Hydrangeas are a souther staple and thrive in partial shade or sun! They would add a perfect amount of color and are low maintenance!

Hosta will great for the shade and impatients for some color. Both are easy as pie to take care of. Hostas come back every year as well. Hydrangeas are gorgeous and it’s looking awesome.

hosta's in the shade. Add some double knockouts roses! they take the southern heat, sun and bloom like crazy!!

Be careful with hydrangeas! Limelight hydrangeas take full sun and the others do not. Hosta is a perfect low maintenance plant and always comes back as well as lantana which is my favorite!!!

Beautiful! I would do Bobo Hydrangeas- smaller and full of white blooms. They do prefer morning sun and afternoon shade.
