I lost my daddy last October bc United refused surgery he needed & drs tried to discharge him time & again bc united said he didn’t need to be hospitalized. I had to threaten to sue to get him treated

Without rapid and urgent surgery when my husband had a saddle pulmonary embolism he would have died. PE’s are nothing to discount. 💔

This is why nurses will call the doc to the bedside to put eyes and hands on the patient. Sometimes what you see and feel in person catches things the “paper” misses. And saves lives.

I work with cancer patients and the fact we need an entire team of prior authorization staff is mind blowing to me. They should be focused on their health not the medical bill.

I was told by an er doc he wouldn’t admit me because I have Medicaid and they don’t pay enough to the hospital so he sent me home. Admitted the next day at a dif hospital..

Dr. jack, you are a good dr. my dad was too, once served as head of ABEM- and retired early. The pendulum swung too far. He just wanted to practice medicine.
