@sophiemorrisofficial: Between what I was talking about in my reel last night with more and more small food producers getting more shelf space, and now this new range appearing in M&S, I’m feeling so optimistic that we will start to see more and more positive changes to our supermarket environment. Is this a very clever marketing strategy when the retailers know we are all reading labels and caring about ingredients? Yes it is very clever of them! Are cereals like this ever going to be a really nutritious breakfast? No. But that’s not the point… the point is retailers are taking seriously that people really care about the ingredients in their products, and now they are taking action by creating new products that are more minimally processed and with no unnecessary additives… and they’re making the ingredients the selling point!! I would love to see more products like this on the shelves where the front of the pack is showing the product for exactly what it is!! No hiding behind health claims or clever marketing, just a simple & clear ingredients list where we know straight away what we’re buying! If all the products in the supermarket had labels like that it would be so eye opening and there would be a lot less confusion about what’s a quality product and what’s not!! SO I’m taking from this a big positive that retailers are really listening to us… this movement of label reading and swapping to more minimally processed quality products is really and truly working! So thank you to all of you… it is because of us as a collective caring about the ingredients in our food that we have the power to really change the supermarket environment for the better! More quality minimally processed products and less ultra processed products and just think how amazing that will be for our kids future health 🫶 Let’s keep going!! 💪 #ultraprocessedfoods #cleverswaps #supermarketswaps #changeishappening
