God I wish workplaces would also understand this ! I’m 38 years old and still get sooo much anxiety when we have to say a fun fact etc . So not needed 😩

I do a desert island group activity. Who gets off the island, who stays and why - this way it’s not single out anyone and gets them talking with peers. Fun fact - there are no right or wrong answers!

What, like it’s hard? :
I like having kids write a thing or two about themselves to turn in. I want to learn about them, but totally agree that ice breakers suck

When I was in grade 6 my teacher instead of us saying a fact about ourselves would ask us to just say our favourite song and I absolutely loved that! That teacher was also the one who changed my life and will forever be the one teacher who drastically shaped my life! I always say he was my “ To Sir With Love “ teacher ♥️

I never minded the ice breakers. Especially as I got older. I like at least knowing who I’m in a class with or on a team with.

Our principal makes us do ice breakers at every beginning of the year inservice. My hubs is the PE teacher and this last year he said: “My name’s Nick and I’m going back to the gym.” 😂
