Most cannot because price negotiation is against fair housing laws. Also paying rent on time is what you agreed to, doesn’t make you great.

Worked for me! I’ve negotiated my rent 2 years in a row now. Some places have certain occupancy percentages to maintain so sometimes they don’t wanna see you leave.

It only works sometimes if they have a lot of vacancies then you can negotiate but if they have all their apartments full they get greedy and do not care. They say they go up because of market rent
