@american_lost_survival: Ever heard of a Zeer pot? This ancient off-grid cooling method keeps food fresh at 40°F—without power! 🤯 ✅ How It Works: 🪴 Place a smaller unglazed clay pot inside a larger one 🌿 Fill the gap with wet sand & keep it damp 💨 As water evaporates, it pulls heat away, cooling the inner pot With this method, vegetables last up to 2 weeks instead of 2 days! 🥕🍅 Perfect for off-grid living, power outages, and emergencies. The ‘amish’ fridge isn’t even the Amish fridge. You just admitted it. It existed centuries before the Amish used it.

🏜️This method is still used today! Many rural communities in Africa, India, and the Middle East use Zeer pots to keep food fresh in extreme heat

If you use soil instead of sand and plant edible greens in it it will achieve the same results, except you get free salad. 🤭

ARE WE AWAKE NOW 😴 :
This is a great idea to stop using the refrigerator and unplug it permanently because it's so expensive to run. I unplug everything and my electric bill has been low except for the refrigerator
