They tried three times before getting it right. The best one was from the lunar buggy which was left on the moon. You can see it today. Really its just a math equation calculating speed and force.

they were also in a race with other countries to be the 1st to do it so I believe they thought other countries were getting close to actually executing that very mission and they wanted to win then to see who would actually believe it and it was the masses for sure everyone was tuned in. why would they destroy this supposed better technology? why would they destroy everything from the greatest thing they had done thus far including the actual footage? also the new prediction to go today would take a rocket bigger than elons rockets and would need 24 fueling rockets to get there and back 😳 we are technically much further than they were in the 60s yet we don't have better technology today to repeat? so many questions imo 🤔

10 years of research and $24billion we walk on the moon. 50+ more years of research and NASA funding exceeding $2trillion in funding during that time, massive leaps in technology and we can't go back because the tech they developed was lost? Who lost it? Who was responsible for such valuable technology being lost? the video of the "moon landing" to me has never ever made sense to me as if Neil was the first person to step foot on the moon how the f did u have a camera already in place to take his quote unquote first steps on the moon, also being up in space with the crap tech they had back than how did they get such great video yet scientists state the amount of solar radiation they would be dealing with in butter space u wouldn't be able to film at all cause the film it self would be degraded. and the tech they had I believe the memory capacity back than was like 30 maybe 40MB like no sry there's literally no way it happened
