I've had Logitech 5500 for 20 years they are so good I got a second set for my home theater setup cheapest thx surround sound you can get louder than you need them for any home theater. I have a massive lounge room and I don't think we've ever had them max volume.

technically it's supposed to be in the motherboard but also because most computers aren't gaming computers they used for work purposes and have no gpu.

you can find old Logitech PC surround setups at thrift stores for cheap, the first one I bought only has 2 working ports, but I can still use it for the side channels given the nature of PC surround

You can also get a receiver and run through HDMI for surround. Mobo surround is limited by the card's output limiter.

Got some older Altec Lansing, so glad ppl do not know what their stuff is worth, paid them 20 bucks they usually around 250$
