I’ve always loved that it’s a physical control. I like it when I’m on a flat road, but not when I’m on an incline, and it’s ridiculous to scroll through a bunch of menus to change it mid reverse

That was overstimulating lol. Imo it’s a really helpful feature if you don’t want to curb ur rims or if you have a large suv because u can’t feel u parked ur living room on a curb

You can adjust where the mirror tilts to when you reverse, and then set it so it tilts to that position when your profile is selected. I got a cooper loaner over the summer and found it tilted too

My 2010 Lexus IS 250 with memory seat had that feature .. I think most cars with memory seats function has that feature ..

It’s been that way since AT LEAST 2000. at least my 2000 BMW had this feature and activate the same way.

My Mazda is very similar. Left button makes the left mirror go down, right button make the right mirror go down, if neither are toggled neither go down. Love it!

Same thing on my 2015 four-door mini. It drives me absolutely nutty to have it pointed down except in very specific and rare situations.

mazdas do the same. leave the mirror on right select, right mirror goes down and vice versa

Mazda do this but backwards. The light on the button has to be off for the corresponding mirror to not tilt. Looks like on the Mini, the light needs to be on. Weird

personally i’m a big fan of the auto tilt in my infiniti, but it does not go down as far as bmw’s do, it’s probably like half the amount

In my Honda which ever mirror is selected on the switch is the only one that tilts down, both won’t tilt together in reverse.
