@marksmithphotos: Sailing in on the cool morning breeze, a single roseate spoonbill decorated in vibrant breeding plumage surveys the landing area by just slightly turning its head. A critical decision is being made. Should I land at the usual spot where photographers are eagerly awaiting my arrival, or should I turn around and head back to my island nesting colony? Regardless of the decision made, me and a dozen other photographers are already in complete awe at the majestic painted bird that is gracing us with its presence. This entire landing sequence is slowed down 10 times, which makes it easy to understand what happens in a blink of an eye. 😊
