i bought the wavytalk steam straightener and my hair is very similar to yours and it warks after one to two passes depending on if i miss a piece or not.

So a few years ago at a fair a lady tested this on my very curly hair (I think it's 3c hair maybe?) it works well and doesn't burn skin (the lady saw the burn on my neck and made a point to say that)

I have the Dyson airwrap. It is good for some things but not worth the money at all if you have straight hard to curl hair. Everyone hyped it up. So I am happy people ask questions now
