I had an oc idea, she couldn't let go of her gf after she died and the more I thought of the more it sounded like Necro. sigh.

Question. I have an OC that refused to believe her lover was dead and because his body was still intact she acted as if it was alive but she didn’t “do” anything. Is that necro or what?

I have an oc who likes d3ad bodies but in the “they’re so fascinating” way, plus with the delusion mindset of “they’re my friends!” Cuz.. it’s not that hard to NOT romanticize smth disgusting…..

As a Person with a bunch of Horror ocs my number one rule is to never Romanticize it. ESP if it has topics like nercophila. If you want a silly horror oc then make it a ghost or something not that..

We need more problematic OCs, yes. HOWEVER, we also need to treat it like what it is and NOT glamorize or treat it as a "quirky" little trait.

People forget a lot that you can have a problematic oc but romanticizing and glamorizing it really just doesn’t make it work

i know exactly who ur talking about…the fact they claim the tag is bc of the oc’s name and refuse to accept the weird stuff they have animated going on with the corpse…

So real, people don’t understand the difference between having ocs or stories that tackle problematic topics and legit romanizing and cutifying this things

Hot take, Necro’s oc is borderline good for narrative and such, but it’s how they execute it that makes them a bad person. They write the Oc in a good light and even glorify the actions all together. Ocs who are bad people are necessary for a storyline, but there are better ways to go about it rather than claiming the bad person as ‘silly’ and ‘relatable’ when it’s about the bad actions that aren’t acceptable, claiming a character well written and enjoying the story use is a different thing. (And if the bad things are written as relatable to spread awareness then it is slightly more lenient and acceptable. But only slightly and if executed correctly.)

when I see y'all make these posts I never know if the person in question committed a crime or if they just drew something vaguely nsfw bc either way they're "problematic/fetishists/freaks"
