@bengal.tigress: The birds who are forced to live inside a shopping mall in Toronto continue living in stressful and very unnatural conditions while Woodside Square mall management seem to believe they are educating the public about the environment and ecosystem. They were unable to provide the most basic necessities for these birds and were given 12 orders by the province to update their “displays”. Even still they are not appropriate because they don’t understand why these displays are unethical to begin with. Toucans, owls, hornbills, even Bald eagles at one point (which mysteriously disappeared despite their claim they do not intend to remove any of the birds), and many other bird species living inside cages for no reason other than some kind of mall attraction or perhaps even status symbols for the owner of the birds.
