@selah.joy.official: Our plan for the car👇 I’ve talked about our car before on my page having a serious theft issue which makes the insurance crazy high. Also, we just experienced a hit-and-run on the door which needs a replacement and of course now the motor is going out. Before the motor issue, when we had taken it in to dealers to try and trade it in, most wouldn’t take the car or we’re only offering us $2,000 for it because of the theft issue. I’m sure most would just sell this car as a private sale but the thought of this car going to a single mom with the insurance issue.. we decided to keep it. Now due to the motor problem, the car is only good for scraps. The good news is that basically the car is burning oil and fast. However, if you constantly refill and check the oil before driving, it could keep going for awhile. So we decided to ship the car to our new state, fly over our family, and use that car as my husbands commuter. I don’t feel comfortable driving that car with our kids in it so we are going to try and pull $7,000 or so from our emergency fund and get a used van. This is 10000% why I always recommend having a fully funded emergency fund before paying off debt, because if we had this problem with no savings? We would have pulled out another loan.
