🇮🇸 Cosy cabin in Iceland ⬇️  This is the perfect spot in Iceland to watch the Northern Lights dance across the sky, from the comfort of a luxurious cabin, at the newly opened ÖÖD Hekla Horizon  Located in the south of Iceland, at ÖÖD Hekla Horizon you can stay in one of the spacious mirrored houses with front row views of Mount Hekla – one of Iceland’s oldest volcanoes 🌋  There are a range of three, two and one bedroom houses here, some come with private saunas & hot tubs. Tough no matter which house you stay in, all guests have access to a shared lounge, sauna and hot tub as well as a dedicated Northern Lights Lounge, a huge chill out area which is a great place to hang out and wait of the Aurora Borealis to make an appearance.  While I was unfortunately unlucky and missed out on seeing the Northern Lights here, (btw 🌧️ cloudy/rainy skies = no visibility), I still enjoyed a relaxing experience, cosying up in the cabin which had everything we needed for a comfy stay. There’s no restaurant on site, however the houses all come equipped with a kitchenette + all the cooking essentials, coffee machine, wifi & fluffy bathrobes to wrap yourself in after a dip in the hot tub.   @oodhouses mited-time discount of 40% off at ÖÖD Hekla Horizon til the end of March.  To get here, it’s a 2 hour drive from Keflavík International Airport (the main airport in Iceland) and will put you in perfect position to start your road trip along the south coast of Iceland.
