Chicken shawarma crunch wrap Ingredients: For the chicken 2 lb boneless chicken breast or thighs, thinly sliced into pieces Salt to taste 1 tbsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tbsp smoked paprika powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp cumin powder 1 tbsp red pepper paste or tomato paste 3 tbsp oil + more for cooking For the garlic sauce: 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/3 cup sour cream 1/4 cup butter milk Salt to taste 1 tsp fresh lemon juice 1 tsp black pepper 1 tbsp garlic powder For the sumac onion: 1 large red onion, thinly sliced 1 tsp sumac Salt to taste 1 tsp lemon juice To assemble 6 large tortillas 6 mini tortillas 6 tostadas 1 cup mozzarella cheese 1 cup lettuce, chopped 1/2 cup pickled cucumber , dliced 2 large tomatoes, sliced French fries Method: In a bowl add chicken, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika powder, turmeric, cumin powder, red pepper paste and oil. Mix until well combined. In a pan heat some oil. Once the oil is hot add chicken and cook for 12-15 min flipping sides in between or until fully cooked. Remove and set aside. Make sumac onions by mixing, onions salt and sumac powder. Squeeze some lemon juice mix and set aside Make the garlic sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sour cream, butter milk, salt , pepper, garlic powder and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and creamy. Assemble the crunch wrap by placing a tortilla on a flat surface. Add some cooked chicken top it with sumac onions , tomatoes, pickled cucumbers , lettuce. Add some garlic sauce on top . Top it with tostada. Finally add cheese and fries. Cover it with the small taco and fold the edges of the large tortilla towards center, creating pleats. Invert the crunch wrap so that the Pleats are on the bottom securing the filling. Heat pan over medium heat. Add the crunch wrap seam side down for 3 min. Drizzle 1 tbsp oil. After 3 min flip the side and cook the other side for additional 3 min or until golden and crispy. Serve warm with garlic sauce and enjoy! #crunchwrap #chickenshawarma #shawarma #Recipe
