I went to Wits with whites, racism was appalling. White students were secretly given scope for tests. But we still passed irrespective. Lol what competition, swimming? Black people excel everywhere

My brother is now an engineer was expelled from an Afrikaans high school back in the 90’s because he got 99% on a math exam, the highest mark being the only black student.

I beg to differ. I’m a teacher and our top learners are black, our top 10 students are mostly back. They do not just excel in the classroom but also in their extra mural activities

most people of colour do not have access, nor can afford extra murals, facilities at school, tutors, WiFi, long hours travel time home and to school/work vs whites. 🤷♀️. yet many excel & surviving
