You didn't have a childhood as such. At age 33, a surgery left you with the face we can see and with after-effects that made you stay at home for years. You were judged without anyone understanding what you were going through, something that Mom and I experienced. Despite everything, you overcame it without professional help, you fought so that I could have a better life, an education. But when you were back to your best, an illness kept you in the hospital for almost a year, but with your will to live, you returned, facing more health problems. Four years ago, a stroke gave you another big blow, but, despite everything, you keep going. Thank you, Dad, for giving me the opportunity to draw you, for being my example of struggle, for being that *PHOENIX* that rises up again and again.
