@jimmywayneofficial: I thoroughly enjoyed, performing music and sharing my story with all the kids at the Gear up Summit. These children are poor children in the Tennessee area. All they really want is the opportunity to have access to rich education and rightfully so. What I enjoyed so much about this event was how the kids responded during my performance. They were so engaged. When I was a kid and living in the group home, I was exposed to a variety of styles of music. Pop, country, hip-hop, heavy metal, rock — you name it. It was a melting pot. It was a multicultural family and I learned a lot. I believe that’s why I love so many different styles of music today especially soul music.
