@bee.jeweled.coop: 🐥 Anyone else bringing home chicks this spring? This year I’m trying out a tent brooder from @mypetchickenofficial . This one caught my eye because it’s larger and it has a side door. The side access is probably one of the most important features, in my opinion. Chicks are naturally afraid of things coming in from above (think hawks!) so when you reach down into a brooder, their instincts tell them to RUN! 🐥💨 💕 If you want sweet chickens, get yourself a brooder that opens on the side. This way you can approach them from their level which is WAY less scary. Make sure you have all these brooder items to set up for success. I have a checklist in my Linktree! 🐥 #backyardchickens #babychicks #brooder #chickenkeeper #petchickens #gettingchicks #chickcare #chickencare #chickenkeeping #homeforchicks
