He is stood in the middle of Melbourne. It’s useless there and that vehicle probably never sees an unsealed road. I feel like the car community lacks a view of reality and simply hates anything that goes against “big noisy is good”…

He’s not wrong? Cars crumple a particular way for a reason. While a bull bar is great for a roo, it can be a death sentence for a pedestrian

I think words are needed, can you elaborate? I’ve read studies stating hitting wildlife over 50kph + even with a bullbar does substantial damage to a chassis and structural integrity of a car. For this reason my work doesn’t supply them on our Cars in remote WA.

I live about 30 minutes from the city and I have a near miss every one ir two days with a roo. Very thankful to have a bullbar, these city folk don't know what they're on about.

I see both sides, but he did mention that it can interfere with sensors and can stop airbags deploying

he is right though, most ppl with the "big manly" bullbars and 4wds rarely leave the city. there arent a lot of wildlife coming at you in the city but there may be people who dont look before crossing, humans are a lot weaker than a kangaroo

I mean it is 2025. Maybe the wildlife now identifies as soft and squishy or something?

I agree with the spirit of the idea, as in people who never leave he city chucking bullbars on is a higher risk for pedestrians. but for us in the country they play a pretty important role
