A judge has dismissed the murder charge against Aaron Spencer, an Arkansas father who was accused of fatally shooting the man alleged to have sexually abused his 13-year-old daughter. Prosecutors said Spencer chased down and shot 67-year-old Michael Fosler in October 2024 after discovering him with his daughter, then forced the vehicle off the road and opened fire. Spencer later called 911 and has maintained he acted to protect his child. The case took a major turn when the court ruled that law enforcement lost critical dashcam evidence, including a memory card that may have captured the incident. The judge said the missing material could have been important to the defense and that the mishandling of evidence was serious enough to warrant dismissal of the charges.
