children are capable of so much more than we think. a 2 year old throws tantrums because parents/caregivers don't give them the time/space to do things for themselves.

I am a public school teacher and even there you can see who gets "babied" at home and who has more responsibilities! Montessori lifestyles are so interesting and importaind!

Love my mom, she means well, but she HATES that I let my children practice independence. I’m like they’re never going to learn if I don’t let them try on their own first…(age appropriate things ofc)

YES! It is a way of life! I’ve been a Montessorian for 3 years now, going on fourth and WOW my life has changed completely, even in personal challenges outside of my classroom!!!

when i think of Montessori, I think of children being able to do things for themselves. they are learning how to cook, clean, and be an independent person.
