Splitting the G has been pushed by the company as they've moved the branding lower on the glass, meaning you have to drink more on your first gulp = buying more pints.

Was on bout this with my mate. I would only meet a few Guinness drinkers that were older or my age. Now everyone is on it. It’s a craze. People who don’t even like it have it just for the ‘G’.
