Ernestine Shepherd was a 56 years old school secretary with no interest in fitness, but everything changed after a shopping trip with her sister Velvet. While trying on swimsuits, they weren’t happy with how they looked, so they decided to turn things around. Ernestine was encouraged by her sister to start exercising with her. But when Velvet suddenly passed away, Ernestine made her a promise to keep going. She began working out daily and at the age of 71, she decided to take her training to the next level. She entered her first bodybuilding competition and to her surprise, she won first place. At 88 years old, Ernestine keeps moving, coaching seniors and running marathons.
