@mountaininthemist: We've learned A LOT in the 4 years of raising meat rabbits. We originally used converted dog crates as their cages, but we were running into some issues with rodents and rust. So, we rebuilt our rabbitry- designing it in a way to make our and the rabbits' lives easier! 🥳 Some key points on this👇 The roof as a door is HUGE. The rabbits are easily accessed, as well as their feeders and waterers🤗 The whole structure is covered and out of the rain. We put up a piece of wood to block the sun which is critical during the summer ☀️ It's completely rodent proof!🐁 These hutches are a bit bigger than the crates and have less wasted vertical space😁 It's amazing how much rabbit meat can be grown in such a small space. Rabbits are an ideal meat source for anyone with limited space and time.
