@monet.izabeth: DAY 8 Solo in Norway 🇳🇴 One of my hopes for this solo expedition was to be out long enough to get a range of weather. The first four days were pretty cold—just want I needed after my solo last year in Minnesota was unseasonably warm—and then the temperatures started to rise and brought with it wind and snow. Wind can be a bit scary because these tents are made to withstand high winds when they are set up in the right alignment. But if the wind changes, and it’s now hitting from the side, the tent’s vulnerable spots are now much more likely to snap. I camped in a nice little dip in the landscape, which meant I had a bit more snow accumulation but also less wind!
When you said we I thought you were with someone. Wow. Very brave and I’m not sure I’d recommend this solo but I wish you the best for safety and an awesome experience.
