So when I make mine, I boil it and when it’s still hot, I add my mayonnaise and mustard and it makes it almost like a mashed potato so mine is almost exactly like yours and it’s the best potato salad

I use mustard and mayonnaise and I use dill pickle relish and I leave my potatoes in chunks, but after you stir them they’re semi mashed. I add onion and sometimes I use green olives.

oh my gosh this sounds a lot like my family's potato salad and we eat it hot too! only difference is we do add a little bit of mayo and don't use a blender but it ends up being more like mashed tater

have to admit, your way is new to me - I'll have to try it. My Appalachian grandma used to make warm German potato salad that used vinegar. VERY different, too.
