Born and raised on the coast of Southern California and I still forget the stingray shuffle sometimes. My dad was also stung by one and the pain was awful. I’m so sorry, wishing you a speedy recovery!

Have been going down to the gulf in Texas for multiple years now and I still forget to do the stingray shuffle. Although there you have way more chance of being stung by jellyfish.
