I have a theory about this and it parallels why pregnant people get dumped on with tragic stories. Our society keeps us so far removed from heart aches like this that the only people people feel safe

I think the only time I’ve ever told someone with cancer about a story it was a friend with cervix cancer about my mom having it at 15 and was still able to have children and survived
