My friend’s female doctor told her SHE WOULD PERFORM HER SURGERY. Once my friend is prepped for surgery and she looks between her legs. There’s a male doctor there performing her surgery. SURPRISE 😮

If you go to a teaching hospital, the attending will never do your surgery. Fellow or resident for sure. It is just the way it is. Attending is supposed to be there but sometimes….

What if you specifically ask who will be doing your surgery & ur told the surgeon, only to find out after, that the fellow actually did your procedure. Not only that, but it was botched?

Good suggestions but from a former undercover DOJ whistle-blower for 10 years and was on Healthcare and Pharma sales for 32, request and place in writing that the head surgeon only does the surgery..

All of this is correct!!!!! But what do you do in an emergency situation? I was and it did not turn out well but I did live - and that is the best thing I can say. NOT good.

Part 5. Also ask how many operating rooms that the surgeon is going back and forth to between surgeries. If it is more than 2, find another surgeon

Yep. Had an appendectomy (appendix removed) & they left a piece. 1 month later I had APPENDICITIS ALL OVER AGAIN🙄🙄 I ended up with ‘stump appendicitis’ which is ultra rare. Would’ve sued but I can’t

part 3. I will let a PA suture me as they are better than the surgeon. I don't and request only an anesthesiologist not a nurse anesthetist . I request this with my surgeon. I plan my surgeries acco .

I had 2 failed back surgeries 20 years ago, came out with worse pain. 1 week post op of 1st surgery I saw the neurosurgeon’s assistant and he told me.. sometimes we neck a nerve. I was in so much pain
