I just did all 3 days- no tour guide just had a plan and woke up early! All the parks open early and no one is there! We were the first ones up the 999 steps

Went before. FULL-BLOWN IMMERSIVE-STAIRMASTER experience I will say. Even with the elevator and the cable car there are still too many stairs.

Just got back from a tour of China and yes take your passport everywhere and get ready to queue for everything from sights to toilets but Zhangjiajie is so beautiful but alot of steps 😊
