OTR Hotshot is dead. People don’t realize you can work local with direct shippers in the electrical supply, plumbing supply, HVAC supply, metal supply, etc… build your own clientele, network with people around you who do hotshots and eliminate brokers and Dispatchers. Also, there are factory companies that work with you and your clients.

Thats about $2 a mile, which was the average I was making in trucking. It’s not horrible money, but is it worth it? I sold my 3 trucks. I make more now with way less expenses.

You make money but you also have to put 30% percent away for taxes after each check plus fuel plus break down etc. etc. so hmmm 🤔🤔
