We had costreamers before, IWD, LS etc. Caedrel is unique because he is both extremely entertaining, and knowlegable about the game, while working veery hard.

I started watching LoL again because I happened onto his stream. Without him I would not watch. He gives so much context to the games, player backstories and team lore. Makes it more than just esport.

My only argument against this is that a lot of games and languages have a ‘caedrel.’ There seems to always be a person who’s the best And explodes the scene.

co-streaming works because streaming works. Many viewers will watch the creator regardless of what they play/do. variety is a very successful category for that reason.

caedrel was generationally talented at casting basically off the rip. he was one of the best color casters ever within months. I don't really see anyone replicating that anytime soon.

Tolkin and Yamato also have a lot of people watching. For me it is sometimes too much having 2-3 people talk, also a lot of times they sound so similar that I can't tell who is saying what.
