your carry permit is associated with your dl. running a firearm doesn't show who owns it. it only shows whether or not the firearm is listed on a national database, usually for being reported stolen.

sigh.... the firearm isn't going to be registered to a permit. you can carry any firearm on a CCW as long as it's able to be concealed. Why don't cops know the law?!
