@dannysdiyshed: So I am making a custom table and they want it 50cm in diameter. I already have a few round moulds so I wasn't getting another one!! No in fact I'm going to make one and the sides will be re-used to any other round I decide to do. I am using 3mm HDPE from vision plastics. They also offer a free cutting service so had a few strips cut out of my sheet to help me out. An 18mm MDF gives all the stability and rigidity you need. After cutting the circumference to length I fixed it in place with galvanised banding to make sure it wasn't going anywhere!! Then using the circle router jig cut some HDPE to the same size as the MDF base and insert!!
