I believe that he went to a secluded area to take his life and was never found. His girlfriend mentioned that he was suffering from severe mental health issues and that that’s actually what she believed happened. It’s more fantastical to think that the government or some otherworldly being took him when he saw something he shouldn’t have, but in reality, tragedy is often very mundane.

People don’t realize how many abandoned mine shafts/adits are in the US, especially in the Sierra-Nevadas. You can find one, and never be seen again, whether you wanted it or not.

M shaped Cave was said to be near Nellis Air Force Base sheep range near Area 51 he also said that the cave was unlike anything he had ever seen and made his body vibrate getting more intense the closer he got to it, also him being a highly experienced hiker makes it even more weird and SUS
