I’ve been seeing a lot of posts claiming that silicone tape can reduce wrinkles like crow’s feet and nasolabial folds. Unfortunately, that’s just not true. 🚫 Silicone tape is designed for scar prevention and healing—not for smoothing out wrinkles. 🩹 It hydrates the skin, protects it from UV damage ☀️, and helps redistribute tension to prevent scars from forming. It also modulates collagen production to keep excessive scar tissue from developing. That’s its real function. Now, if you apply silicone tape over a wrinkle overnight, sure, your skin might look temporarily plumper and more hydrated in the morning. But that effect is short-lived… Your skin will return to its natural state over time. It’s not a long-term solution for wrinkles, despite what influencers might claim. 🙄 At the end of the day, if someone is selling this as an anti-wrinkle fix, they’re making money 💰—but it’s not helping you.
