I did the hard thing. I ran for Congress while raising four young children, being a wife, and juggling all the responsibilities that come with building a family and pursuing something bigger than myself. And while I didn’t win my race, I didn’t lose my purpose. For months, I traveled across Illinois, listened to families, met people who felt forgotten, and spoke passionately about the issues I believe we can no longer afford to ignore. Those convictions didn’t disappear on Election Night. If anything, this experience made me MORE committed to the mission. But I also had to accept something important: Just because one door closed doesn’t mean the work is finished. Sometimes it means you have to find a different door. So I’ve spent these last several days reflecting, praying, thinking, and asking myself what comes next. How do I take everything we’ve built, everything I’ve learned, and all the people we’ve brought together and turn it into something that creates lasting impact? And I believe I’ve found a way. A different vehicle. A different scale. But the SAME commitment to strengthening families, empowering communities, and fighting for a better future. I’m excited to bring you along as this next chapter takes shape. To everyone who has stayed, encouraged me, checked on me, and continued to believe in what we’re building, THANK YOU. I told you I wasn’t going to disappear after Election Day. I meant that. I didn’t run for Congress because I needed a title. I ran because I believed there was work worth doing. And that work is far from over. Love you, Illinois. We ran anyway. And we’re going to keep building anyway.
